It is a 5G phone and is packed with amazing features like snapdragon 865 , SoC, has smart looks, fast charging and has impressive sound quality. There are no talks to launch in US but it will be available in European countries. Let us have a detailed review on the Realme X50 Pro.

Realme X50 Pro Design

Talking about the design of the new Realme X50 Pro The phone has been given a modern look. The phone is provided with Corning Gorilla Glass, and the screen does not have a notch but has a dual – camera cutout in the upper left corner. You will also find a chin below the screen.The Realme X50 Pro comes in only two colour variations, one is Rust Red and the other is Moss Green.The texture of the rear glass may seem to be frosted but it is not rather it is smooth and slippery. The phone has four unevenly spaced cameras. We get the USB Type – C port, speaker and SIM tray.The phone does not have 3.5 mm audio socket. The phone frame is built with metal and the construction quality is solid.The looks appear to give you a high end feeling. The phone however is little heavier than normal.The height of the phone is 6.4 inch and the ratio is 20: 9. As the phone is slippery it makes the phone difficult to hold the phone with one hand.

Speaking about the price the new Realme X50 Pro offers you three variants in terms of pricing. The first one will cost you Rs 37,999 with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The second one will cost you Rs 39,999 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and the third and the last one will cost you Rs 44,999 with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The starting price of the phone in Europe is 599 euros. The phone has vapour cooling system, dual- frequency GPS and NaviC support, stereo speakers, NFC, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 with the AptX HD audio codec. The Realme X50 Pro also has its own features in the phone which include prioritising your favourite games, internet traffic, lighting effects, ambient display, driving and riding modes, app cloning and it also enables you to feed dummy personal information to apps for the protection of your privacy. The phone has “lockscreen magazine” which will show promoted content which can be disabled as well.

The new Realme X50 is provided with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor and Snapdragon X55 modem. The phone can download at a speed of 7.5Gbps and can upload at 3Gbps of speed.The phone also has Andreno 650 integrated GPU . You also get improved systems for ambient sensors, cameras, gaming AI processing and audio etc.The battery capacity of the phone is 4200mAh. It is claimed by Realme that its 65W “superDart charger”can charge the phone in 35 minutes from zero to 100 percent. The softaware of the phone is Android 10 with Realme UI 1.1 on top.The phone has modified and customised options such as choice of icon styles, control over the icon grid density and the ability to dispense with an app.

Performance wise the Realme X50 Pro is not at all disappointing. It comes with Snapdragon 865 processor. The phone sets good standard with the 90Hz screen , LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage capacity. The Realme X50 Pro is a 5G phone and has a impressive looks with amazing colours and brightness. When you run videos and apps at a stretch for a long time the rear gets little warm. The phone also has really good speakers. The phone is provided with super fast charging which is convenient. With 65W charger is quite heavy. To fully charge the phone it would take 41 minutes 16 seconds.

Regarding the camera of the Realme X50 Pro, we get four rear cameras. The first camera is the primary camera of 64- megapixel with f/1.8 aperture. The second one is the wide- angle camera of 8-megapixel with f/2.3. The third camera is the telephoto camera which is of 12- megapixel and offers 2X optical zoom with f/2.5 aperture. The fourth and the last camera is the monochrome depth camera which is of 2- mega pixel. The night mode of the phone is 3.0 with tripod setting. There is video stabilisation as well for the front cameras and it also has portrait mode for the video in addition to that you also get 120fps slow motion recording. During the day time the cameras can give you surprisingly great pictures. During the night mode the quality of the captures are not so good but okay. You also get video shooting capacity of 4K.

Verdict

The price of the Realme X50 Pro indicates a premium quality phone which it is not. Apart from that it is a 5G phone which is again not available in India yet. However, it offers fast charging, great camera features and excellent processor. The overall looks and design of the phone is attractive. The phone could have improved in its night mode and video shooting capacity which is 4K. The phone is actually heavy and slippery at the back. The phone does not come with wireless charging or IP rating.

The Xiaomi company’s new phone Redmi Note 10T 5G is all set to get launched on 28th June 2021 comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display and a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. It comes with 6GB of RAM. It also runs on Android 11 and has a 5000mAh battery. The device is supported by proprietary fast charging.
